Fie ca Nașterea Domnului sa vă lumineze sufletul și casa. Crăciun fericit!
(A Romanian Christmas greeting, roughly translated:
"May the light of God's birth shine in your soul and home. Happy Christmas!")
We want to wish all our friends and family a very Merry Christmas! As we celebrate this time of year, we are always reminded of the amazing gift that God has given us through his Son, and the humility of Christ to come to this earth in the form of a helpless baby. We pray that each of you have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow and that God will bless your time with family and friends.
We are also reminded of what a privilege it is to be serving God here in Bucharest and are blessed by all of your prayers, love, and support. THANK YOU to all that have sent care packages and Christmas cards, it is an extra special blessing to receive goodies and love from home!
We continue to ask for prayers in the coming weeks in the following areas:
We continue to ask for prayers in the coming weeks in the following areas:
- The safe arrival of our newest family member! We are about 3 1/2 weeks from the official due date and are praying that this baby waits at least 2 more weeks before making an appearance! Even though we have had 9 months to prepare, we still feel a bit anxious about it and don't know what to expect with 3 kiddos!:)
- Language acquisition! Ryan & I are making progress and would really like to have more opportunities to practice, but there are only so many hours in a day! Please pray that we will keep improving and that we can find a way to continue learning throughout the holidays and the new baby's arrival. Also, pray that Carter will continue picking up language at his school.
- House repairs! We have a few repairs that need to be done on the house and are hoping to get them taken care of next week. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and that things will be completed before the baby comes!
- New relationships! We have started to meet a few people in our neighborhood in passing and are praying that God will help our paths to cross again. Please pray that He would continue to provide opportunities to start new relationships.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
