Grandparents!!!

Alexa arrived on January 16th...and what naturally follows after a new baby is born?  A visit from the grandparents, of course!  We are so thankful that some of our parents were able to come over for a visit; we loved having them and showing them a glimpse of our new life here.  Despite the fact that they were here over the worst three weeks of winter, we had a wonderful time!  They embraced the snow and jumped right in walking Carter to school, shoveling snow, etc.

My mom, "Granny", playing in the snow with the kiddos

The ladies of our team in Bucharest threw a lovely baby shower for Alexa while my mom was here; it was a great opportunity for her to meet many of our friends

Everyone enjoyed playing the Wii :)

Grandpa, Grandma, Ryan & Carter spent an afternoon ice skating outside at Chismigiu Park in dowtown Bucharest

And of course...it was like Christmas all over again with all the American food and baby items they brought!  There was peanut butter, instant oatmeal, brown sugar, muffin mix, baby gifts, handmade baby items, and much more!
(Apparently, in our excitement, I didn't think too much about pictures...this is the best I have...)

A special "Thank You" to Ryan's parent's church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, for the food they collected and sent over, we are so grateful!
