Anyone that knows anything about us knows that we are "planners"...we like to know when, where, how, and why things are going to happen. We analyze, make spreadsheets, and analyze again. So the fact that God has called us to a lifestyle that requires complete flexibility and a "go with the flow" attitude is a testament to how different God's ways are from our own. It is also evidence of the way that God pushes us out of our comfort zone and into a place of total dependence on Him. These past two years of uncertainty have been a challenge for us and yet have also help us to trust in God more fully.
Over the past couple months we have slowly been getting more information about when and where things will happen for us. While there are still many huge questions, we appreciate every tidbit of information that comes our way. Here is a brief summary of the dates and time line we expect over the next few months. Of course, this could change at any time, but for now we have a rough outline:
Nov. 9th - Presented to the IMB Trustee Committee for official approval
Nov. 12th - Scheduled to close on our house
Nov 12th - Early January - Stay in the Dallas area, housing TBD:)
January - Early March - Visit family in Colorado and Amarillo
March 16th - IMB Appointment ceremony at First Baptist Church Dallas (anyone and everyone is welcome to attend!)
End of March/Beginning of April - Travel to visit more family and friends
April 25th - IMB Training begins in Virginia for 8 weeks
End of June - Return to Dallas for final packing and goodbyes
Beginning of July - One-way ticket to Bucharest, Romania!
